Products ordered through the empresseffects.com website come with a 45-day money back guarantee. This means that if you are not completely satisfied with your Empress Effects product, you can return it for a refund. This guarantee does not cover product not bought from www.empresseffects.com. Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded and the customer is responsible for the return shipping (including the costs associated with it). Canadian taxes (GST, PST, and HST) applied before shipping will be refunded. Tariffs and duties applied after shipping, such as those added at international borders, will not be refunded. Products must be returned to Empress Effects in reasonable shape; products damaged by misuse or accident will not be refunded. Please contact Empress Effects before returning a product.
Products ordered through the empresseffects.com website come with a two year warranty against failures resulting from defective parts and/or faulty workmanship. This warranty can be extended to 4 years by filling out an online registration. The warranty applies only to the original owner of the product, and terminates two years after the owner receives the product. While a product is under warranty, Empress Effects will repair the product free of charge. However, the owner of the product will be responsible for both shipping to and from Empress Effects. We reserve the right to cancel the warranty should the product be tampered with, modified, damaged through misuse, or damaged through failure to follow the operating instructions. Empress Effects liability is limited only to repair and replacement of a defective product. Please contact Empress Effects before shipping a product to us.
Shipping costs are determined by where you live and how many products you order. We use Canada Post Xpresspost and the costs (including customs brokerage) are as follows:
Single product to continental USA: $25 CDN
Single product to Canada: $15 CDN
Single product not to Canada or US: please contact us for cost.
For each additional item add $10 CDN.
Empress Effects is committed to your privacy. Please see our complete privacy policy. It basically states that Empress Effects will only use the information you provide us for customer administration. e.g. placing an order, shipping a product, processing a return, etc.
Online capture of credit card information is completed via a secure SSL encrypted session. The SSL server certificate has a Public/Private key length of 1024-bit RSA. This can be verified while in Internet Explorer by doing the following: 1) go to secure Empress Effects site; 2) double click on the yellow lock in the bottom right corner; 3) click on the "Details" tab; 4) scroll to the "Public key" value, it should show "RSA(1024 Bits)".
