Happy New Year! We'd like to with everyone all the best for 2012. If you're in the Anaheim area, come to NAMM and we'll do it in person! We'll be at booth# 2882 in Hall D. Hope to see you there!
We had a little mailing list contest to celebrate the release of our 3 drive pedals. People submitted videos rocking out and we selected the best three.
Congrats to Xav, Arne, and Astar Arrakis (?) for their excellent submissions! They each win a Empress drive pedal of their choice.
Xav plays in the heaviest band in the world.
Astar is a robot from the planet Arrakis.
Arne shows how to the Superdelay like a pro.
We've released 3 new pedals, the Distortion, the Germ Drive, and the Fuzz. These 3 pedals are taken directly from our Multidrive pedal, offering the delicious flavors of distortion, overdrive and fuzz in a smaller package.

We held a contest for our mailing list. People had to send in pictures of their pedalboards and we'd select one
at random and one based on picture awesomeness, and give them each an Empress Compressor. Well, there were two stellar
pictures, and we were torn on which one was the best, so we decided to add an extra compressor to the contest.
Tim picked up a compressor for his MMPR themed board:

Florin picked up a compressor for his sweet Lego board:

We selected Angus' board at random, so he got a compressor. His board is pretty killer too!

Here's the pics of the finalists. They all won tshirts. Congrats to Chris, Antonio, Erik, Istvan, Mathieu, and Rodrigo.

We've released a new pedal, the Compressor. Check it out here

See why Premier Guitar gave the Multidrive 4.5 out of 5!
There's a review of the Multidrive on the front page of Music Gear Review. Check it (if you're not busy)!
I did an interview with Dan Kern at sixstringsoul.com. Check out their sweet giveaway contest, win a Multidrive!
A couple months ago Jon at GuitarNoize reviewed the Multidrive. Check it out!
Check out this article in Premier Guitar Magazine. How to Avoid Your Chiropractor: Playing Guitar Without Breaking Your Back. There's some good tips for staying injury free and a bunch of excercises that really help strengthen those guitaring muscles!
A couple weeks ago we held the Super Awesome Mailing List Contest. I'm happy to announce that Tommy Wentling and Dean Ellerton of Brooks School in North Andover, MA took home
a pair of Multidrives. I don't think the prizes could have gone to more deserving people. Tommy is a student at Brooks School, and Dean teaches in the music department.

Tommy plays guitar in the school band, along with Dean's son Adam on drums. They've got some serious talent. Congrats!
Our ParaEq got a face lift. We've moved the toggle switches to the top, moved the power jack to the side and added a sweet new Boost stompswitch! Now you can engage the boost independantly from the rest of the pedal; perfect for adding some kick to a solo section. The inside is still the exact same EQ circuit as our first edition.

Check out this video. The Root's Captain Kirk Douglas shows the secret to his awesomness... The magical power of the Empress Tremolo unlocked using Puma Sneakers! The good bit is at about 4:00 minutes.
If you do any kind of electronics work, either professionally or as a hobby, you should check out Saleae Logic. I've been using it for a while now to debug communication signals, and the thing is amazing. I can honestly say it's improved my quality of life. It's dirt cheap, can analyze I2C, I2S, SPI, CAN, etc in a snap, and the software is super rad. I once sent Joe, who runs Saleae, an email asking for a software feature. Within half an hour he had sent me an updated program with the feature! That's crazy!
Happy Valentine's Day. To show the love we have for you, we are releasing our Multidrive on this warm and fuzzy day. Combining the worlds of Fuzz, Distortion and Overdrive with infinite blending possibilities, the Multidrive offers innovation in a type of pedal that hasn't seen much change since the '70s. Check it out here

If you're at NAMM we would be honored to treat you to sales pitch of our wares. We have highly paid sales experts that will sell you on the
importance of owning all of our pedals. Please come see us at booth 2588 (Hall D). We're going to be giving out stuff!
The November issue of Premier Guitar Features an article titled: "5 Boutique Stompbox Builders You Should Know". Apparently we're one of them! Check out the article here.
Our new Phaser and Midibox pedals have hit the streets! We've made some instuctional videos that go in depth to explore all the goodness this extremely versitile pedal has to offer. Check them out on ourYoutube Page.
We are proud to announce the release of our new Phaser and Midibox pedals. They will hit the street on Oct 14th 2010. We've made a little teaser video. Check it out here.

As always, we horribly underestimate how long it takes to make something that doesn't suck. That being said, we have a bunch of nifty pedals in the works, and hopefully one day you will play one of these pedals, and say "I'm glad they took their time." Until then, if you haven't watched Drunk History, it's awesome. Here's the true story of Nicola Tesla.
We'll be attending the winter NAMM show in Anaheim from January 15th to 17th (friday to sunday). This year we will not be hosting a booth, but we would still like to meet anyone who is interrested in hanging out with us while we're down there. Please give us a shout at 1-888-676-1853 if you're interrested in meeting up with us and we can schedule a time that works for everyone.
This also means that we will be closed from January 14th to 18th. Any orders received during this time will be processed on the 19th. We will still be checking email, so don't hesitate to contact us during this time.
We finally have t-shirts available. You can find them at our online store. Enjoy!

We have some scratch and dents available at our online store These are pedals we can't sell new either because they have a small cosmetic flaw or have been returned. They still carry a full 2 year warranty which is upgradable to 4 years here.
Welcome to our new website! We'll be spending the next couple weeks working out any bugs in the website, so if you find one, please contact us at questions@empresseffects.com We also would love comments, suggestions etc. Enjoy the site!
