Empress Effects was created in 2005 by Steve Bragg. We aim to provide musicians with electronic devices that enhance their creativity; to build a reputation for creating original and exciting high-quality products that are reasonably priced. We are based in Ottawa, Canada's capital.
Steve's
been messing with electronics since he was in high school. In 2004 he graduated
from Queen's University with a degree in Electrical
Engineering. His friends think he's a pretty big nerd; he likes to do FFTs by hand
and he gets angry when Nyquist's sampling law is broken.
He's been playing music for about 10 years. He was playing with his friends in Amos the Transparent
before they began booking lengthy tours. You should check them out!
Empress Effects released their Tap Tempo Tremolo pedal in May 2006. It has features never before seen on a tremolo pedal. The Empress Superdelay was released in May 2008. It's maybe the craziest delay pedal in existence. The nerds at Empress now have two prototypes on the go. Top secret prototypes!
